Fulani Jihadist Attack Kills 28 including Children in Plateau

JOS, Nigeria — At least 28 civilians were killed in a new attack which also left people missing in Amper, Bwi district of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Residents told Creek Metro that the attack, carried out by Fulani jihadists, took place in the early hours of Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Alfred Alabo, spokesperson for the Plateau State police, confirmed the attack, the third to occur in the Mangu Local Government Area in recent weeks.

“Children are among those killed. Many of our fellow citizens are still missing,” Emmanuel Bulus told Creek Metro, noting that the injured are currently receiving medical treatment.
